LIFTING DEVICE
A lifting device can be provided for either the type B or type C mechanisms. This device raises and lowers the rake arms to accommodate increasing or decreasing loads on the rake arms.
The type B lifting device can be supplied with either a manual or motorized 24” or 36” lift
The type C lifting device is supplied with a 24” motorized lift. This lift consists of a telescoping cage which is raised or lowered by four lifting screws. The torque is transmitted through self-lubricating side plates located on each corner of the telescoping cage.
Semi-automatic or fully automatic controls are available as accessories to the lifting device. The semi-automatic control raises the lift at a predetermined torque level and is lowered with a manual pushbutton control. The fully automatic control both raises and lowers the lift at predetermined torque levels.
A lift position transmitter is also available as an accessory on motorized lift. This item senses the elevation of the rake arms, transmitting a signal to a remote recorder or control panel for monitoring.
RAKE ARMS
The rake arms are fabricated steel, either single member structural or a box-truss configuration with welded rake blades for scraping. Cone or trough scrapers are supplied to scrape the discharge cone or trough. Standard rotation is in a clockwise direction. The rakes are powered by a pipe shaft in Type B machines, or by a square cage in Type C mechanisms.
Two short arms or two stub arms are available as auxiliaries to the standard two long rake arms.
